Together Towards High-Quality Recycling Material to Close the Loop.

Now it’s official: The RDG Recycling Group, a local partner from Upper Austria, has been secured for "better.collect" for long-term collaboration in strapping band collection and processing.

Creating new strapping bands from used ones is the ultimate goal of better.collect. Such a significant and important project requires the right partners and pioneers.

'It’s fantastic that we’re working together locally to advance the circular economy in Austria,' says Jürgen Scheiblehner, Managing Director of Strapping Solutions.

The long-term partnership within "better.collect" has now been officially finalized. RDG from Mühlheim am Inn supports Teufelberger in material collection as a recycler and processor. The collected material is cleaned, sorted, and processed into regrind or granulate. This high-quality recycling material, made solely from strapping bands, is used as a raw material for new strapping band production.

'We are working hard to achieve the usual Teufelberger quality of the recycling material,” says Franz Kobleder, Managing Director of RDG Recycling Group. 'For this, knowledge and expertise exchange on both sides is important, which can only work through mutual trust.'

This cooperation is another step towards a more sustainable future. "Better.collect" only succeeds if everyone works together. Without reliable partners, such an idea cannot be realized. We want to give our strapping bands a second life, avoid plastic waste, and additionally save CO₂. Change in every strap.
