GD 10 Hössbahn / Hinterstoder

In December 2022, just in time for the winter season, the ski resort town of Hinterstoder put its new “feeder lift” into service. This 10-passenger gondola lift from Leitner is capable of carrying up to 3,200 snowsports enthusiasts per hour up to the slopes. In practice, this constitutes a 50% increase in transport capacity as compared to the former lift and has shortened the waits for passengers considerably. Situated directly adjacent to the large parking area at the entrance to the village, the new location of the base terminal has also significantly shortened the distance that visitors need to walk to the gondola boarding area. Along this ropeway’s route of 2,606 meters, its cabins ascend 811 m in altitude in 6.5 minutes.
