Hoist Ropes for Slab transport cranes

Slab cranes are used for the efficient transport of produced slabs in steel mills. For this purpose, Teufelberger-Redaelli offers high perforamnce steel wire ropes serving as hoist ropes that permit fast and safe work processes, even in high temepreature environments.
Reliability and longevity are key quality criteria for such ropes. Teufelberger-Redaelli has, for many years, supplied 8- and 9-strands high performance steel wire ropes for cranes.

Hoist ropes for slab cranes used in steel mills are not complete until fitted with custom-tailored rope end terminations and rope installation devices such as the “Pull-Eye”. Our hoist ropes for slab cranes can also be manufactured as containing plastic-impregnated PLASTFILL ® steel core that protect and permanently lubricate the core throughout the rope’s entire life span – even in high temperatures surroundings. Depending on customer needs, these ropes are available as galvanized or bright versions.
